The lakes: a unique treasure in the Vosges

The lakes are emblematic places of the Vosges. Majestic and fascinating, they seduce with the beauty of the landscapes they offer us. In summer, they make many activities possible such as swimming, fishing and hiking.

Lake Gérardmer

More than 2 km long, it is a magnificent place not to be missed. You can swim along the beaches or go pedal boating and even canoeing. A pleasant path allows you to go around it and enjoy the landscape. And if you feel like it, you can also have a picnic there with your family!

Longemer Lake

Located just 15 minutes from Les Deux Maisons, this haven of peace and its surroundings, covering an area of approximately 900 hectares, were classified in 2002 as remarkable Natural Monument sites to permanently safeguard the identity and beauty of the Longemer site. It is therefore a place in the Vosges not to be missed for walking, or even paddle boarding. Fishing is possible. Swimming is tolerated but not supervised.

White Lake

Close to Alsace, the Lac Blanc is 30 minutes from Les Deux Maisons. It is a magnificent place that owes its name to the crystalline color of the sand that covers its bottom.

In summer, you can enjoy a wide range of activities, such as hiking, of course, but also tree climbing , paintball, and of course the 4-season rail sled .
